The Stylist: The Perfect Purple Dress

I might have found the near-perfect purple dress from Dorothy Perkins (10pounds). The pleating, the color, the sleeves and the pockets...gorgeous. I will admit, this dress will not flatter all body types. It would look amazing on an hour-glass or pear shaped body, might not work for apple however.

How to wear this plum piece? Pair it with opaque black tights & black chunky heels. Possible gold bangles, hair worn simply. This dress needs to be the center of attention, and necklaces will detract from the beautiful detail. You might be able to pair it with a thin, very simple black belt across the waist.

What do you think? How would you style this piece?

The Stylist: Work to Play Dresses

Are you one of those ladies who works in the city & often goes out after the daily grind without a chance to run home and change? Well so am I...however I'm lucky enough to work at a place where there isn't really a strict dress code. But for the "business casual" ladies out there, I've got some fabulous looks that can take you from day to night with just a let down of your hair & addition of a chunky necklace.

Here are some outfit ideas:

1. Work: Purple Smocked Dress ($30),  black tights, low-heeled black pumps, hair in a low messy bun.
1. Play: Purple Smocked Dress, black tights, chunky open-toe patent black pumps, take hair down & wear wavy, long gold/brass chunky necklace & red lipstick.

2. Work: Beaded Print Sheath Dress ($19.95), black tights, blazer, black boots, red bracelet, hair straight & half up.

2. Play: Beaded Print Sheath Dress, take off tights, high-heeled red suede pumps, take hair down & spray with hairspray (tousle a bit), darken eye make-up & sheer lipgloss.

Here are the rest of my dress picks:
3. Red Ponte Dress ($29.99)
4. Black Smocked Tank Dress ($24.90)
5. Purple Sweater Dress ($34.99)

Now it is YOUR TURN to be the stylist. How would you wear one of the dresses I didn't style? Tell me below!
