Favorites: My Real Valentines

Happy Valentines Day! Regardless of if you have a special someone today, or if you are single and ready to mingle, you do have a valentine. Open your closet...look at your shoe rack...peek over at your dresser. Your favorite pink dress, those sexy red heels...they never stop loving you. So for Valentine's Day, fashion lovers, I say give your shoes some love. Put on those heels you have kept hidden away because though gorgeous, they hurt your feet. Dig out that hot red dress you have forgotten about...or just put on some simple red lipstick, and tell your little friends, I love you.

Below are some of my favorite V-day finds from Dorothy Perkins (dresses), Trish McEvoy (lipstick) Kate Spade (shoes), Urban Outfitters (top) and Forever21(jewelry). Enjoy!

Readers! Tell me about your plans for V-Day this year below. Looking forward to hearing from you all :)

From the Author: Giant Flower Pin & Gray Blazer FTW

Hello! Big meeting today at Microsoft...which means I had to look somewhat presentable :) The dress code for meetings in the tech world is very different from traditional business standards, jeans and casual dress is permitted. So check out my OOTD...a gray tuxedo blazer from GAP, giant printed flower pin from Nordstrom Rack & my fav boots by Steve Madden.

Enjoy, and post links to your OOTD below!

Trends: Black, White & Beige (and a splash of red)

Good morning! I hope nobody has a case of the Mondays...this week is going to be as amazing as we all make it :)

This is my outfit of the day post...I love the classic combo of beige, white & black. I decided last minute to add a splash of red with the braided red belt.

I find that wearing a light colored top under a dark cardigan (like the white top & black cardi combo below) is really, really slimming (like my other outfit here).

White top: Gap (on sale for $7!), Red belt: H&M, Skirt: H&M, Cardi: H&M
No time to put on make up this morning, tried to make up for it with a well-put-together outfit!

This skirt actually has big cargo-like pockets on the side, you can't see them because my cardi is hiding them, but the pockets give the skirt a totally different look!
Let me know what you think...and if I'm not following your blog, post a link below so I can check it out! I will be doing a blog post round up later this week from all my fav fashion blogs...I don't want to miss any good ones!

Trends: Sexy Strappy Leopard Heels

Are you a "heel" girl? Then these are for you. And right now, these gorgeous leopard print gladiator Glint shoes are on sale for under $50 at Nordstrom! These shoes are very pretty...and a friend who has them says they aren't very comfortable, but they are so beautiful she doesn't care.

Outfit ideas:
  • Night Out: LBD with skinny turquoise or red belt (pops of color look fabulous with leopard if not overdone)
  • Happy Hour: Dark wash skinny jeans, black tank top & black boyfriend blazer. Big gold hoops.
  • Work: These heels aren't for work, unless you are trying to seduce your boss. Save them for after 5!
How would you wear these sexy heels?
